Frequently asked questions
What is RIPdraft?Show
A celebrity death-pool app with live drafts, vetoes, scoring, and in-app death detection.
When does my season run?Show
One calendar year, starting after the draft finishes. Leagues created Oct–Dec target next year.
When can we start a new draft?Show
After the previous season's monitoring window ends — extra days in January to catch late deaths.
How do I join, and what do admins do?Show
Get a join code from your admin. Admins set rules and share the code.
How does the draft work?Show
Snake-order rounds, like a fantasy draft. Picks need a Wikipedia page with a Wikidata birth date so scoring works.
What is the veto system?Show
Members vote on whether a pick is “famous” enough. If enough vote no, the pick is void for that year but can be drafted again later. Admins set the threshold (often around 50%) or can turn vetoes off before the draft.
How does scoring work?Show
100 minus age at death, minimum 2. Younger = more points.
What is Reaper Radar?Show
Your watch list of celebrities. It doubles as your default draft queue in future drafts.
How many leagues can I be in?Show
Up to 5 leagues per calendar year. Leave one from the dashboard if you need a slot.
Isn't this a bit dark?Show
Perhaps. We're all going to die. But the masses only remember the famous (and infamous). We're just starting that process early. And hopefully shedding light on a few forgotten stars before they go.
Is RIPdraft free?Show
Yes, for now.
